Who We Are
Exciting News: Animal Friends of Lansdowne is Becoming Animal Friends for Life!
We are excited to announce that Animal Friends of Lansdowne is officially changing its name to Animal Friends for Life.
While our name is changing, our focus remains the same. We are still AFL, and we are still dedicated to rescuing cats, helping community cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), providing medical care, supporting foster homes, and finding loving forever families for animals in need.
So why the change?
Over the years, our work has grown far beyond the borders of Lansdowne. We have helped animals and families throughout the surrounding communities, and we wanted our name to better reflect the broader area we serve.
But there is another reason that is even more important to us.
At Animal Friends for Life, we believe that bringing a pet into your family is a lifelong commitment. Every adopter who comes through our organization learns that pets are not temporary companions—they are family members who deserve love, care, and stability throughout their lives. Our new name reflects one of our core values: Animal Friends are for Life.
The name Animal Friends for Life represents our commitment not only to rescuing animals, but also to educating adopters about responsible pet ownership and the importance of providing a loving home for the entire life of the animal.
As we move forward under our new name, we remain grateful for the support of our volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, and community partners who have helped make our work possible. Together, we will continue saving lives, supporting community cats through TNR, and helping animals find the loving homes they deserve.
New Name. Same AFL. Same Focus. Same Commitment to Animals.
Thank you for being part of our journey and helping us ensure that Animal Friends truly are for Life.
